About the role
This is a permanent, full-time position starting as soon as possible. The Business Support Officer will work in a busy school environment and provide high-quality administrative and financial support to the Manager Corporate Services and the Executive Team.
The role may also include responsibility for important service areas such as facilities and finance, helping ensure the school runs efficiently and effectively.
We are looking for someone who is organised, self-driven and able to take initiative, with strong judgement, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage several priorities at once while meeting deadlines. You will need to work accurately and calmly in a fast-moving setting.
Strong communication and people skills are important, together with the ability to work independently or as part of a team while handling sensitive information with discretion. Experience in a school setting is preferred, although applicants from other industries with transferable skills are encouraged to apply.
Selection criteria and application details
Full role information, selection criteria and training requirements are included in the attached Job Description Form (JDF). Applicants must submit details of two work-related referees, preferably including their current line manager.
Your application should include a CV of up to three pages covering your employment history and a summary of professional learning relevant to the position, plus a three-page statement responding to the selection criteria in the JDF.
Applicants who are shortlisted will have their skills and experience assessed against the remaining selection criteria during later stages of the recruitment process. Late applications will not be accepted.

Eligibility
- You must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, a permanent resident, or hold a valid visa with work rights for the full appointment term.
- A valid Working With Children Check is required before commencement.
- You must agree to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number from the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before starting.
- Any additional eligibility or training conditions are set out in the attached JDF.
- The role is open to applicants who can demonstrate relevant experience, including candidates with transferable skills from other sectors.
