Role overview
Astraleus Auditing and Certification is seeking an experienced and committed Fire Safety Inspector to strengthen its team. The role involves carrying out site-based safety checks, evaluating compliance, and helping clients improve fire protection standards across multiple facility types.
Key responsibilities
- Perform fire safety inspections and audits for commercial, industrial, and residential premises.
- Review whether facilities meet the relevant fire safety codes and standards.
- Document findings in detailed inspection reports and suggest practical corrective measures.
- Examine fire protection systems, emergency exits, and evacuation arrangements.
- Guide clients on strengthening fire safety compliance and reducing risk exposure.
Requirements
- A qualification in Fire & Safety Engineering, Fire Technology, or a closely related discipline.
- Prior experience in fire safety inspections, audits, or compliance-related work.
- Working knowledge of the National Building Code (NBC), fire safety regulations, and applicable standards.
- Strong verbal communication and report drafting abilities.
- Availability and willingness to travel for on-site inspections.
