Role Overview
Join Chubb Fire & Security as a Fire Alarm Technician, where you will handle installation, routine upkeep, and repairs of Fire Alarm Systems across commercial and industrial sites. This role demands substantial technical know-how and a dedication to client safety, ensuring systems comply with New Zealand Standards and the Building Act.
Work Schedule
This is a permanent, full-time role requiring 40 hours weekly, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Carry out servicing and maintenance of life safety fire alarm systems according to NZ standards.
- Bring at least two years' relevant experience as a fire alarm technician or in a similar capacity.
- Possess a clean, full New Zealand driver's licence and legal authorization to live and work in NZ.
- Have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving aptitude.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of producing clear, detailed reports.
- A clear criminal record is required.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations.
- Holding an NZQA Level 4 Fire Qualification is a plus.
