It is also eligible for a Letter of Assurance.

Primary Purpose

Lead coordination of visual arts instruction for grades PK-12, provide curricular support to district visual arts programs, and organize visual arts events that involve the district, local civic partners, and the broader community.

Duties include helping maintain the visual arts maintenance schedule, ensuring accurate records of materials and equipment in fine arts spaces, and recommending facility improvements and inventory replacements.

The position also supports curriculum and professional learning for district visual arts teachers. This includes partnering with district content leads to build professional development plans, delivering fine arts training, and supporting instructional and curricular development.

In addition, the coordinator will plan and oversee district visual arts shows and events, along with civic events such as those involving the City of Irving and community-based visual arts activities. Other duties include coordinating TAEA district of distinction participation, assisting with the department budget, modeling professional and ethical conduct, following district policies and the Professional Code of Ethics, and completing other assigned responsibilities.
