Overview
This contract role is for a Financial Due Diligence Analyst working remotely from Canada. The position centers on reviewing sensitive financial and transactional documents, with a focus on risk assessment, compliance, and clear reporting for decision-makers.
Compensation and commitment
The pay range for this assignment is $35 to $70 per hour. The expected workload is flexible, between 10 and 40 hours each week.
What you will do
- Examine confidentiality memorandums, financial statements, and contract documents to surface financial, operational, and compliance-related risks.
- Review merger, acquisition, and fundraising materials to verify that transaction records are accurate and transparent.
- Carry out detailed analysis of sensitive and private records while following strict PII compliance practices.
- Spot and reduce risks tied to protected information, ensuring both internal standards and regulatory obligations are met.
- Work with teams across functions to explain complex financial results and compliance concerns in a clear, practical way.
- Record conclusions from your analysis and turn them into concise insights that support high-stakes decisions.
What we are looking for
- Practical experience handling PII compliance, including the ability to recognize less obvious identifiers in financial and proprietary records.
- Background in M&A, corporate finance, or transaction due diligence work.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information for different audiences.
- Ability to identify, evaluate, and explain risk factors in confidential financial documentation.
- Solid understanding of compliance requirements for sensitive document handling and current regulatory best practices.
