Overview
A diversified business group with operations across several sectors is looking for a seasoned Finance Director to lead its finance function in Saudi Arabia. This position plays a central role in shaping financial direction, improving governance, ensuring compliance, and enabling the company’s growth agenda.
The role works in close partnership with senior executives to translate financial data into actionable insight, reinforce controls, improve profitability, and support important business and strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct all finance, accounting, treasury, and reporting operations for the KSA business.
- Create and implement finance strategies that support business objectives and expansion plans.
- Own the annual budgeting cycle, forecasting exercises, long-range planning, and performance tracking.
- Deliver high-quality financial analysis and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Maintain compliance with local laws, tax obligations, statutory filings, and accounting standards.
- Build and sustain effective internal controls, governance practices, and risk management processes.
- Track cash position, liquidity, working capital, and capital expenditure needs.
- Work with business leaders to lift profitability, operational effectiveness, and overall financial performance.
- Support due diligence, investment evaluation, and expansion-related initiatives.
- Handle relationships with auditors, banks, regulators, and other external parties.
- Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements are prepared accurately and on time.
- Lead, coach, and grow the finance team while promoting a strong performance-driven culture.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 15 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior finance leadership position.
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a similar discipline.
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, CA, or an equivalent qualification is mandatory.
- Prior exposure to public listing processes, IPO readiness, or a publicly listed environment is a plus.
- Experience in diversified organizations or in sectors such as industrial, engineering, technology, trading, or services is preferred.
- Strong understanding of IFRS, financial governance, compliance, and risk controls.
- Background in managing multi-entity businesses and complex financial structures.
- Demonstrated success in supporting growth, transformation, and strategic business initiatives.
- Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making capabilities.
