Job description
Role overview
An international law firm based in Dublin city centre is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its team. The role is well suited to a newly qualified accountant looking to move into a commercially oriented position with a strong focus on data analysis and business partnering.
You will work alongside senior stakeholders across the organisation, turning financial and operational data into clear insight that helps guide strategic decisions. The position combines analysis, reporting, forecasting, and regular interaction with teams across the business.
Key responsibilities
- Review financial and operational information to spot patterns, trends, and the main factors influencing performance.
- Build, refine, and maintain Excel-based models to support reporting and forecasting needs.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecast preparation processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across several departments to support business needs.
- Help prepare management reports and presentation materials for internal use.
Candidate profile
The ideal applicant will be a recently qualified ACA, ACCA, or equivalent accountant with around 0 to 2 years of post-qualification experience. Prior training in a Big 4 environment is preferred, along with strong Excel capability and comfort handling large data sets and model building.
Employers are looking for someone with a real interest in analysing numbers, extracting meaningful insight, and communicating findings clearly to non-finance audiences. Exposure to Power BI, Python, or similar analytical tools would be beneficial, though it is not mandatory.
Additional information
This opportunity is aimed at a newly qualified professional who wants to develop commercial awareness, work closely with senior leaders, and strengthen analytical as well as business partnering skills.
