As a Financial Analyst, you will convert complex financial and commercial datasets into actionable insights that guide decisions across revenue, cost, and margin dimensions. Key Responsibilities

• Transform existing Excel-based reports into automated, AI-driven dashboards delivering real-time business insights.
• Collaborate closely with commercial and functional teams to decode performance drivers, providing contextualized financial analysis to support strategic decisions.
• Analyze trends and variances in financial metrics including revenue, costs, margins, and headcount across various departments and business segments.
• Contribute to the monthly management reporting process by delivering performance reports, variance analyses, and clear narratives that simplify complex financial data for senior leadership.
• Assist with preparation of quarterly rolling forecasts, annual budgets, and long-term plans through gathering inputs, challenging assumptions, and maintaining financial models and consolidations.
• Prepare bespoke analyses and business case documentation for the FP&A Manager and executive team.
• Support broader group finance activities such as P&L and balance sheet reviews, month-end reporting, and additional finance team projects as needed.
• Foster strong connections with ZURU's global finance partners, including teams based in China, to deepen your understanding of financial reporting processes.
• Continuously enhance finance workflows by automating repetitive tasks, building self-service data sets, standardizing templates, and embedding AI tools at the core of reporting practices.
• Embody and promote ZURU's culture of continuous improvement by constantly seeking opportunities to optimize financial operations and challenge existing processes.

Required Skills & Experience

• Degree in finance, accounting, economics, commerce, information systems, or data analytics; support is provided for CA pathway candidates.
• Proficient in Excel and financial modeling with a strong eagerness to learn and adopt new technologies, especially AI applications used within the finance function.
• Strong commercial insight and analytical instincts, able to quickly identify discrepancies in data and concisely explain underlying causes.
• Excellent communication and influencing abilities to translate complex financial information into clear messages comprehensible to senior management and diverse stakeholders.
• A proactive, energetic, and creative problem solver driven to continuously improve processes and overcome challenges with resilience, positivity, and humility.
• Full-time presence at ZURU’s New Zealand headquarters is mandatory to maximize training and development opportunities.
