Job description
Job purpose
The financial analyst role supports management with accurate, timely financial insights that help guide business decisions. It is focused on delivering analysis for different business functions so they can improve performance and meet strategic and operational goals.
Key responsibilities
- Create financial models from internal financial systems and other relevant data sources to support both strategic and day-to-day decisions.
- Work with management to understand the main cost and operating income drivers and track results against agreed targets.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across departments to support effective decision-making.
- Contribute ideas that help the business manage and reduce costs.
- Coordinate with business stakeholders to ensure reporting is accurate, timely, and supported by meaningful variance analysis.
- Take part in annual planning, quarterly business reviews, and latest estimate exercises by providing analysis and support.
- Support continuous improvement efforts that strengthen speed and accuracy in financial processes.
- Help prepare business plans and business case evaluations for new initiatives and projects.
- Handle ad hoc reporting and analysis whenever required.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline is required.
Experience
The employer is looking for candidates with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in a similar role within a medium or large organization.
Competencies
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Strong analytical and interpretation abilities, along with solid financial modeling capability.
- English fluency is required, and Arabic proficiency is an added advantage.
