Job description

About the Role

Ford of Canada boasts extensive operations, including a national headquarters, three vehicle assembly and engine manufacturing plants, three parts distribution centers, and three Connectivity and Innovation centers, employing roughly 7,000 individuals nationwide. Additionally, over 18,000 employees work across more than 400 Ford and Ford-Lincoln dealerships throughout Canada.

The finance division plays an integral role in partnering strategically with operations to achieve excellent business outcomes and maintain Ford's leadership in the automotive sector. Joining this team means influencing all aspects of the company—planning, manufacturing, marketing, and global distribution—while working in an environment driven by teamwork and shared responsibility.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create forecasts, business plans, and annual budgets collaboratively with operating partners.
  • Manage accounting duties, generate financial reports, and participate in developing and enforcing financial control procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation of business proposals directed to senior management.

Candidate Profile

Education: A bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related fields is required. Having a CPA designation is considered advantageous.

Experience: A minimum of five years experience in formulating forecasts, preparing business plans, and working on annual budgets alongside operational teams is essential. A sound understanding of financial reporting and financial control processes is necessary.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are mandatory. Familiarity with modern artificial intelligence and automation tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and PowerBI is a valuable plus.

Communication: Strong interpersonal and clear communication abilities are important for success in this role.

Additional Information

The position is hybrid; candidates residing within commuting distance to a Ford hub may need to be onsite four or more days weekly. Legal authorization to work in Canada is mandatory as Ford Motor Company of Canada does not sponsor work permits.

Applicants must provide proof of educational qualifications. For degrees from outside Canada, an Education Credential Assessment for Canadian equivalence is required.

Ford offers opportunities for meaningful career growth through multiple job rotations within finance including profit consolidation, vehicle pricing, retail and fleet marketing analysis, employee benefits, payroll, financial reporting, and accounts receivable.

Accommodations for candidates with disabilities can be arranged upon request during recruitment and assessment phases.
