Role Summary
This is a full-time, on-site Financial Accountant position in Dubai. The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, producing reliable reports, and ensuring compliance with the relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
The Financial Accountant will handle ledger postings, account reconciliations, and the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements. The position also supports month-end and year-end closing cycles, monitors cash movement, prepares management-facing financial reports, and contributes to budgeting and forecasting. In addition, the role involves improving and maintaining accounting systems, assisting with both internal and external audits, and working closely with teams across the business to provide useful financial input for decision-making.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants should have a strong grounding in finance and financial reporting, with the ability to read, interpret, and present financial information clearly. Hands-on experience with financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements is required, along with practical exposure to accounting software and financial systems. Strong analytical ability, close attention to detail, and the capacity to spot trends, variances, and potential risks are important for this role. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is needed, and professional credentials such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA are considered an added advantage. Familiarity with IFRS or comparable accounting standards and local compliance requirements is expected. The position requires someone who can work on-site in a busy trading and distribution setting, juggle multiple deadlines, and communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
