About the role
This position sits with a client that creates some of the most widely watched primetime television shows and films for major global broadcasters and media organisations. The role offers exposure to a fast-moving media production environment and the opportunity to work closely with a range of creative and operational teams.
Key responsibilities
- Take ownership of the month-end close cycle and prepare management accounts.
- Handle intercompany accounting work, including reconciliations, settlements and matrix reporting.
- Build and reconcile cash flow forecasts, with a focus on effective accounts receivable management.
- Contribute to the annual budget cycle and support ongoing reforecasting using the latest business information.
- Work with production, operations and creative stakeholders to improve processes and ways of working.
- Lead or support financial transformation efforts by introducing new systems, tools and practices.
- Make sure VAT obligations and other tax requirements are met accurately and on time.
- Work with internal and external auditors, answering queries and assisting through the audit process.
- Help with forming new entities, winding down dormant entities and meeting statutory filing duties.
- Provide commercial finance support and carry out a range of ad hoc finance assignments.
Ideal candidate
