Role Overview
We are seeking a Financial Accountant who will serve as a strategic partner to our UK parent company, laying the financial groundwork for our Irish operations as we expand into Spain, Italy, and France. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance (PCF 11), you will uphold strict regulatory compliance and financial governance to support our international growth ambitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead preparation and timely submission of financial and statistical returns to the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) with accuracy and transparency.
- Oversee daily safeguarding reconciliations to ensure full compliance with CBI Safeguarding Guidelines.
- Maintain and develop the Safeguarding Framework to support multi-regional business needs.
- Continuously monitor regulatory capital and liquidity to guarantee adherence to E-Money Regulations.
- Provide technical accounting and regulatory expertise to facilitate expansion across European markets.
- Manage monthly financial close and audit activities while collaborating with UK Group Treasury and Finance teams on related projects.
Qualifications & Experience
- Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA.
- Relevant work experience within FinTech, payments, or regulated financial services sectors.
- Comprehensive knowledge of CBI reporting and safeguarding regulations.
- Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to diagnosing and solving challenges.
- Ability to distill complex regulatory information into clear, actionable insights for senior management.
- Continuous improvement mindset, eager to enhance processes and understand underlying system functions.
