Role overview
This role is for a finance leader who will own planning, reporting, budgeting, and day-to-day financial operations for the organization. The position is focused on protecting financial accuracy, meeting regulatory and compliance obligations, and strengthening governance across all finance activities.
The selected professional will deliver strategic financial analysis, improve financial performance, and help leadership make better decisions through reliable reporting and well-structured insights. The role also involves working closely with business and functional teams to refine finance processes, reduce risk, and support sustainable growth.
What you will do
- Drive annual budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and broader financial planning work.
- Review and prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements along with management-level reports.
- Track results against plan, study variances, and suggest actions that improve profitability and operating effectiveness.
- Oversee cash flow, treasury activities, working capital, and liquidity planning.
- Create financial models, investment evaluations, and business cases that support strategic priorities.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax rules, statutory obligations, and internal financial policies.
- Maintain strong internal controls, governance practices, and risk management processes.
- Work with internal and external auditors and follow through on audit observations until closure.
- Provide finance support and performance insights to business teams and senior stakeholders.
- Support finance transformation efforts, including process improvement, automation, and digital initiatives.
- Look after finance systems, reporting tools, and the accuracy of financial data.
- Guide, mentor, and develop finance staff while encouraging accountability and ongoing improvement.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- Strong grasp of financial management, planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and management accounting.
- Working knowledge of corporate finance, taxation, treasury, internal controls, and financial analysis.
- Familiarity with ERP platforms, reporting systems, and business intelligence tools.
- Good analytical ability, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced Excel capability and experience with financial modelling techniques.
- High standards of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, CMA, CFA, or similar credentials are a plus.
