Job description
Role and Responsibilities
The Finance Executive will be responsible for various financial operations including treasury management, accounts payable and receivable, statutory compliance, accounting, and financial reporting alongside employee expense coordination and audit support.
Treasury Management
- Track daily bank transactions and maintain comprehensive fund movement records.
- Create daily reports on fund availability to aid management decisions and fund allocation.
- Process payments to vendors and other entities through banking systems.
- Engage with banking partners to support operational needs.
- Manage documentation and administration of Fixed Deposits (FDs) and Bank Guarantees (BGs).
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Oversee the management of accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Conduct reconciliations of customer and vendor balances.
- Monitor working capital and assist in managing cash flow effectively.
- Ensure prompt and accurate financial reporting.
Statutory Compliance
- Adhere to GST compliance requirements, including preparation and timely filing of GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B returns.
- Perform GST reconciliations and related workings.
- Coordinate activities to maintain GST compliance.
- Prepare Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) calculations and ensure timely remittances.
- File quarterly TDS returns and manage any default notices if issued.
Accounting and Financial Reporting
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries and oversee month-end closing tasks such as accrued revenue and prepaid expenses accounting, stock journals, and expense provisions.
- Prepare monthly profit and loss statements and management information system (MIS) reports.
- Analyze budget versus actual expenditures and explain variances.
Employee and Audit Coordination
- Manage employee reimbursements and settlements of advances.
- Verify and reconcile employee advances and expense claims.
- Coordinate with staff to ensure timely claim submission and reconciliation.
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for statutory and internal audits.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 3 to 5 years of experience in finance and accounts.
- Practical knowledge of GST, TDS, treasury operations, and MIS reporting.
- Firm understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with GST and TDS compliance work.
- Familiarity with treasury functions and banking operations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/accounting software.
- Strong analytical capabilities and skill in reconciliation tasks.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and adhere to deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Competent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
