Role overview
A well-established aviation services and flight support business in Dubai is looking for a senior finance leader to oversee the finance function. The position sits at senior manager/director level and combines strategic oversight with day-to-day financial management in a fast-paced international setting.
The successful candidate will help sharpen financial controls, deliver reliable reporting, manage cash flow, and support leadership with sound commercial and financial advice.

Key responsibilities
- Direct the finance department and act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on financial matters.
- Prepare and review management reporting, accounting summaries, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Oversee cash flow, liquidity planning, working capital, customer collections, supplier payments, and receivables/payables management.
- Maintain compliance with UAE VAT, corporate tax, audit, and statutory obligations.
- Improve internal controls, approval structures, financial policies, and risk controls.
- Support finance activities tied to aviation operations, including flight support, fuel, ground handling, supplier settlements, client invoicing, and multi-currency transactions.
- Collaborate with Operations, Commercial, Procurement, and HR teams to strengthen cost visibility, pricing accuracy, and financial discipline.
- Handle relationships with banks, auditors, tax consultants, and other external finance partners.
- Lead, coach, and develop the finance team to improve performance and accountability.
- Drive improvements in finance systems, reporting tools, automation, and process efficiency.
Candidate profile
- 12 to 15 years of progressive finance experience, including work at senior finance management level.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, ACA, CIMA, or a similar qualification is strongly preferred.
- Strong hands-on exposure to financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, audit, taxation, and internal controls.
- Solid understanding of UAE VAT, corporate tax, audit standards, and financial compliance requirements.
- Background in aviation, logistics, transportation, travel, fuel services, ground handling, or similar international service businesses is highly desirable.
- Experience with multi-entity and multi-currency environments is an added advantage.
- Strong leadership, analytical, reporting, and business partnering capabilities.
- Excellent English communication skills are required; Arabic is an advantage.
