Job description
Role Overview
We seek a detail-oriented and pragmatic Finance Business Partner to collaborate with founders and the leadership team in constructing and expanding the finance function. This position suits a candidate with solid financial insight and a proactive, builder's approach, adaptable to a dynamic environment requiring cross-functional collaboration and establishment of robust reporting and data-driven decision-making systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Collaborate closely with executives and business leaders to enhance overall business performance.
- Coordinate monthly and quarterly reviews with various functional teams.
- Create and sustain management reporting packages, KPI dashboards, and analytical tools.
- Support comprehensive board and investor reporting efforts.
- Partner with Technology and Operations departments to enhance data accessibility, automate reporting, and boost accuracy.
- Design scalable reporting frameworks utilizing platforms like Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
- Work alongside Accounting and Finance Operations to align financial and operational reporting.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Management.
- At least four years of pertinent experience, preferably in high-growth, fast-moving, or multinational business settings.
- Strong analytical thinking, financial modeling capabilities, and problem-solving skills.
- Expertise with Excel and Google Sheets at an advanced level.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to effectively manage stakeholders.
- Experience in establishing reporting frameworks, dashboards, or developing finance functions from inception.
- Independent work style, comfortable without extensive support teams.
- Technical proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or equivalent.
- Background interacting directly with founders, senior executives, and multiple cross-functional teams.
- Professional certifications like CPA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalents are advantageous.
