Role and Responsibilities

The Finance and Accounts role involves managing a variety of financial operations. Key responsibilities include processing a high volume of vendor invoices with proper authorization and coding, and executing timely payments through electronic transfers, wire transfers, or checks in adherence to agreed terms. This position also requires maintaining strong vendor relationships, updating vendor records, and resolving payment inquiries and discrepancies. A crucial part of the role is reconciling vendor statements with internal records to ensure accuracy and clear outstanding balances. The individual will support the finance team in month-end and year-end closing procedures and financial reporting, ensuring all transactions comply with company policies, internal controls, and relevant regulations such as GST, TDS, and EOU. The role also includes managing asset capitalization and providing support to internal and external auditors by preparing necessary schedules, documentation, and reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks is essential. Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail are required for error identification and discrepancy resolution. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables, are necessary. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are needed for effective liaison with internal teams and external suppliers. Exceptional negotiation, verbal communication, and problem-solving abilities are also important for managing relationships and resolving issues.

Additional Information

Candidates with experience working in a SAP environment within the industry are preferred.
