Overview

Amazon Middle East is growing and is looking for a finance professional who can help establish strong processes, improve analytics, and support cost-control initiatives. This position is based in the Riyadh office in Saudi Arabia.

The company’s goal is to remain highly customer-focused, and this role contributes by partnering with operations leadership to improve financial discipline, reporting, and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with KSA operations business leaders to provide financial guidance, support decision-making, and help improve processes across the organization. The role requires the ability to break down complex problems, carry out analysis, and communicate findings to senior leadership.
  • Maintain strong financial control standards by ensuring essential controls are implemented, finding opportunities to strengthen the control environment, and building new processes where needed. This includes ownership of monthly financial controllership and explaining the financial effect of business activities to different teams.
  • Support core finance cycles for the business, including annual operating plans, long-term planning, monthly and quarterly business reviews, weekly metric reporting, bridge analyses, and forecast revisions.
  • Review cost structures in depth, identify operational improvements, and evaluate business opportunities and investments, including key growth initiatives.
  • Serve as an important finance partner in cross-functional teams that support rapid business expansion.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects at the network level.

Required Experience and Skills

  • At least 1 year of finance experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience using key financial performance indicators in analysis.
  • At least 1 year of experience building financial and operational reports or datasets that support business decisions.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including macros, INDEX, conditional lists, arrays, pivots, and lookups.
  • Ability to use data to shape and influence business decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience in root-cause analysis.

Preferred Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen controllership and deliver measurable results.
  • Experience with TM1, data warehousing, and SQL.
