Role Overview
This Finance Analyst role based in Mumbai reports to the Senior Manager Finance and involves minimal travel (0-5%). The position focuses on executing financial planning, reporting, and modeling to support strategic decision-making within the Commercial Finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to assist strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
- Collaborate across departments to lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning aligned with business goals.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly financial reports and conduct detailed analyses and presentations to guide management decisions.
- Translate complex financial information into clear narratives and interactive dashboards for leadership performance tracking.
- Analyze sales profitability across various channels, customers, SKUs, and regions.
- Support sales teams with pricing strategies, margin evaluation, and commercial decision processes.
- Monitor sales results monthly against budgets, forecasts, and targets.
- Identify revenue gaps and margin enhancement opportunities, working alongside Commercial, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Accounting units.
- Manage SG&A expenditures fully, including budgeting, tracking, accruals, variance analysis, and governance to maintain budget and profitability adherence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or similar fields.
- 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience in financial analysis, strategic planning, or business partnership roles.
- Advanced skills in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in managing multiple priorities and delivering precise outcomes under stringent deadlines.
Desired Qualifications
- Expertise in advanced Excel functions.
- Familiarity with visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Competence with financial reporting platforms and ERP or financial planning software.
- Excellent abilities in conveying complex financial concepts through compelling presentations.

- Experience in supporting complex research projects and generating strategic financial insights.
