About the Role
Mintlayer is growing its finance function in Abu Dhabi at a time when the UAE is becoming a major center for institutional digital asset finance. In this role, you will take ownership of management accounts, the monthly close cycle, and the financial reporting package used by senior leadership and investors for key decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and the financial reporting pack for review by leadership.
- Lead the month-end close cycle, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal postings across all entities.
- Handle vendor disbursements and keep the accounts payable ledger up to date, covering both crypto and fiat payment flows.
- Act as the main point of contact for external auditors and tax consultants.
- Oversee the accounting platform and make sure transactions are classified correctly.
- Support the Head of Accounts with board-level financial reporting and investor due diligence.
- Help with payroll processing and coordinate schedules for contractor payments.
Experience and Background
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably from fintech or crypto environments. Professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or an equivalent certification are either in progress or completed. Hands-on experience with Xero, QuickBooks, or ERP platforms is expected, and familiarity with UAE financial reporting practices is preferred.
