About the role
This contract position is designed for people who enjoy cinema and visual storytelling and want to help train AI systems to better understand how scenes are constructed. In this work, you will view brief video clips and convert what appears on screen into detailed, organized scene descriptions that capture the action, pacing, framing, and emotional feel of each moment.
The role is fully remote and offers flexible scheduling. It does not require prior professional experience in filmmaking or artificial intelligence, as long as you have a keen eye for detail and a genuine interest in how stories are told visually.

What you'll be doing
- Review short film or video clips and turn them into clear, structured visual beat breakdowns.
- Capture camera movement, shot composition, pacing, blocking, and overall atmosphere with accuracy.
- Describe emotion and tone using only what is visible on screen, without relying on dialogue.
- Use the required formatting approach for scene summaries and beat-by-beat analysis.
- Replay clips when needed to verify details and improve completeness.
- Keep the quality and consistency of descriptions high across a large volume of work.
- Manage the work independently and on an asynchronous schedule.

- Ability to notice visual details and explain on-screen action in vivid, structured language.
- Excellent organized writing skills with attention to consistency and precision.
- Comfort with reviewing clips multiple times to make sure nothing is missed.
- Dependable, self-directed, and comfortable working without close supervision.
- No prior professional background in film, media, or AI is necessary.
Preferred background
- Studies or experience in film, media, creative writing, or visual arts.
- Exposure to screenwriting, shot breakdowns, or film analysis.
- Understanding of cinematography concepts such as shot types, camera angles, and editing pace.
