Role Overview
This part-time remote opportunity is for a film and video editor who will support AI training work by applying professional editing judgment to moving-image content. The role focuses on storytelling, shot choice, pacing, visual structure, and the creation of polished audio-visual sequences.
Working Arrangement
Location: Remote
Time commitment: 10-40 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Help train AI systems on core film and video editing concepts, with emphasis on narrative flow, shot selection, and visual storytelling.
- Work alongside technical teams by supplying annotated examples, review notes, and practical guidance for editing-related tasks.
- Sort, organize, and manage video materials, coordinating with producers or directors to improve the post-production workflow.
- Cut and align audio tracks with video footage to ensure smooth synchronization between sound and picture.
- Review AI-produced edits and return clear written and spoken feedback aimed at improving model performance.
- Promote editing standards related to rhythm, sync, and visual clarity throughout the AI editing workflow.
Requirements
- Proven experience editing film, video, or other digital moving-image content.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of professional editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a careful eye for detail and clarity.
- Previous collaboration with producers or directors in a post-production setting.
- Good understanding of pacing, synchronization, and visual storytelling techniques.
