Role Overview
HCLTech, a leading global technology company, is seeking an experienced FileMaker UI/UX Design Lead to join their Hyderabad office. This role involves leading a team of designers to create compelling user interfaces and experiences, while collaborating cross-functionally to ensure seamless integration and delivery of digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide and motivate a group of UI/UX designers to produce high-quality design outputs within project deadlines.
- Work closely with product managers, engineers, and business partners to collect requirements and transform them into design strategies.
- Create and update design concepts, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and polished mockups to clearly express design ideas.
- Perform user research, conduct usability tests, and gather feedback to refine design solutions iteratively.
- Keep abreast of current industry developments, best design practices, and new technologies to enhance workflow and end products.
- Mentor junior designers and promote continuous professional growth and innovation within the team.
- Ensure consistent application of design systems and standards across various products, delivering unified user experiences.
- Assist with technical integration efforts involving REST APIs, ODBC/JDBC database connections, and parsing JSON/XML data as needed for design implementation.
- Manage tasks related to production support including deployment, server setup, and release management for UI/UX assets.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong leadership experience managing UI/UX design teams and working with design systems.
- Expertise in Claris FileMaker Pro and FileMaker Server, encompassing layout design, scripting, and relational database design.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and handling data connectivity via ODBC/JDBC interfaces, including working with JSON and XML.
- In-depth understanding of relational database management systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL, including data modeling and optimizing performance.
- Familiarity with production support processes, including incident, change, and problem management, as well as deployment and server administration.
