Role Overview

This position involves managing the comprehensive strategy, design, and execution of enterprise-level restaurant software solutions impacting global brands. The specialist will bridge business goals, user insights, and technical implementation to develop scalable and innovative platforms supporting operational excellence worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the migration of Figma design systems from one enterprise platform to another, ensuring accurate transfer of libraries, components, and token architectures.
• Conduct thorough audits of Figma files to identify dependencies among libraries, components, templates, patterns, and tokens.
• Execute initial proof-of-concept tests within sandbox environments to validate migration strategies, assess risks, and estimate required effort.
• Reconstruct foundational design libraries as necessary while preserving consistent naming conventions and integrity of dependent files.
• Utilize Figma library workflows to reconnect migrated assets and shared libraries on a large scale.
• Diagnose and resolve issues such as broken token links, component mismatches, and publishing difficulties during migration.
• Confirm proper functionality of tokens, styles, and component linkages post-migration.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, and platform teams to plan work sequencing and minimize operational disturbances.
• Document critical decisions, alterations, and outstanding issues to facilitate smooth handoff to internal teams.

Qualifications and Skills

• At least 7 years of experience in product design, design systems, or related fields, particularly with advanced technical proficiency in Figma.
• Expertise in managing shared libraries, components, and token-driven design structures within Figma.
• Demonstrated success in leading or assisting complex migrations, restructuring, or maintenance of Figma design systems.
• Strong ability to identify potential technical risks and develop pragmatic solutions.
• A portfolio showcasing design systems and complex Figma projects is mandatory.
• Familiarity with Token Studio, Figma enterprise environments, or GitHub-integrated token workflows is preferred.
• An academic degree is not required if extensive relevant experience is present.
• Capability to work remotely within U.S. time zones for the duration of the 3-6 month contract engagement.
