Job description
Role overview
Brush Strokes is hiring a full-time Field Support Specialist for onsite work in the Greater Augusta Area. This W2 position starts at $16 per hour and includes a company vehicle.
Company values
The organization’s culture is built around four core principles that are expected to guide daily work: serving others before self, acting with honesty and doing the right thing even when it is inconvenient, continuously improving and challenging limiting beliefs, and showing initiative while addressing obstacles safely and directly.
Company vision
The company describes itself as a training-focused business that supports its team and the wider community. Its aim is to create purpose through painting by helping people build practical life skills, leadership ability, and long-term growth opportunities for future generations. A high-quality paint job is seen as the outcome of doing the work well, not the sole purpose of the work itself.
What the role involves
This position is a hands-on field support role that combines driving, errands, and onsite coordination. You will help connect the office, job sites, and subcontractor crews, playing an important part in keeping projects moving smoothly.
Key duties
- Use a company-provided vehicle to transport paint and other materials to project locations across the Augusta area.
- Handle loading and unloading of heavy items such as 5-gallon buckets, ladders, and related equipment; this is a physically demanding job.
- Visit subcontractor teams in the field, check progress, and provide daily updates to the office or leadership team.
- Help organize materials and keep supply levels and staging needs on track.
- Record daily work activity through Google Docs and a smartphone.
- Receive training to eventually support quality control walkthroughs.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is mandatory.
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in Georgia’s weather conditions.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently are essential.
- Comfort with basic digital tools, including Google Docs, spreadsheets, and smartphone apps, is needed.
- Strong communication skills are required because daily reporting to leadership is part of the role.
- Experience in construction or the trades can help, but it is not required.
Perks and growth
- A company vehicle is provided, reducing personal wear, fuel costs, and transportation expenses.
- Starting pay is $16 per hour, with a merit review after 90 days and the opportunity for increased compensation based on performance.
- There is a clear advancement path from Field Support Specialist to QC Specialist, then Project Coordinator, and eventually Project Manager.
- This is a stable W2 employee role rather than gig work, 1099 work, or unpredictable on-call labor.
Additional information
This position is described as full-time and onsite in the Greater Augusta Area. The job is not presented as remote or hybrid work. The company emphasizes dependable attendance, self-direction, and a willingness to support field operations in a practical, physical way.
