Role overview
This position is for a Field Service Specialist focused on nVent High-Density Liquid Cooling (HDLC) solutions. The role supports customer data center sites across the APAC region and is centered on field installation, servicing, and warranty support for liquid cooling equipment. The job is fully remote, but it requires frequent travel, typically around 50% to 70% of the time, including international assignments.
Key responsibilities
You will act as a hands-on technical support resource for customers and internal teams, helping ensure successful deployment and reliable operation of HDLC products in live environments.
- Travel to customer sites around the world to handle installation, maintenance, and warranty-related support.
- Communicate technical updates, review findings, and troubleshooting details in a clear and structured way.
- Assist in planning projects by helping establish work scope, schedules, and budgets.
- Collaborate with engineers and CAD designers on prototype and pilot development work.
- Take ownership of other tasks or assignments when needed.
- Serve as a professional and dependable representative of nVent to client teams.
Required background and capabilities
The ideal candidate brings substantial field experience in data center environments and is comfortable working independently while coordinating with distributed teams.
- At least 5 years of experience in data center installation and maintenance, preferably involving high-density liquid cooling systems.
- Ability to explain technical concepts and deliver effective product training.
- Strong reading knowledge of electrical and mechanical drawings, along with hands-on use of CAD tools and Visio.
- Solid understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, plumbing, pipefitting, heat transfer, and numerical methods.
- Working familiarity with applicable standards and codes such as NEC, IEC, and IEEE.
- Basic exposure to power distribution, heat tracing applications, or monitoring and control systems.
- Excellent communication skills and a confident client-facing presence.
- Capability to work remotely with minimal supervision and follow standard processes independently.
