Job description
Overview
This is an excellent opening for individuals with backgrounds in electrical, electronic, mechanical, avionics, or biomedical fields interested in working with advanced medical technology. The role offers immersive in-depth training locally in Australia and internationally, focusing on a broad spectrum of Medical Imaging products including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, X-Ray, and Nuclear medicine systems.
Positioned in Palmerston North or Hawke's Bay, this job mainly serves clients across the lower North Island and collaborates with Southern New Zealand teams to provide outstanding technical support and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct preventive maintenance, software updates, system upgrades, corrective repairs, and new equipment installations.
- Partner effectively with internal teams to ensure smooth operational workflows and punctual delivery of services.
- Complete service documentation accurately and promptly.
- Engage in ongoing knowledge enhancement through formal training, self-directed learning, e-courses, mentorship, and practical application.
- Comply strictly with all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Technical or trade education background is essential.
- Ability to operate independently and manage tasks autonomously.
- Possession of or eligibility for New Zealand Electrical Service Technician electrical registration is highly favored.
- Having a Radiation license is advantageous; if not held, the company will support obtaining it.
- Must have an unrestricted driver’s license.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically within New Zealand and internationally.
- Possession of legal work rights in New Zealand.
