Overview
Penrith City Council is seeking dedicated Field Operator Labourers to join their Civil Operations team at the Kingswood Works Depot. This role offers an engaging, hands-on opportunity to maintain and enhance public spaces and civil infrastructure across the city, with varied daily tasks.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate various plant, tools, and equipment for public space maintenance and civil works including roads, drainage, cleaning, and waste services
- Perform routine inspections and basic upkeep of equipment to ensure safety and functionality
- Carry out manual labour tasks related to civil construction and maintenance
- Assist with traffic control activities and uphold safe working conditions
- Provide excellent customer service and positively represent Council within the community
- Collaborate effectively with team members fostering a productive and safe work environment
- Adhere strictly to Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulations, Council policies, and legislative standards
Candidate Profile
- Experience in general civil labouring or a comparable practical setting
- Strong dedication to workplace safety and knowledge of WHS principles
- Effective teamwork and communication skills with colleagues and the public
- Positive, flexible attitude with eagerness to learn and adapt to varying duties
- Current Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating plant and equipment
- Traffic Controller certification (Blue ticket) and/or Class C driver's licence
- Background in horticulture, civil construction, or local government sectors
