Field Investigator

Role Overview

ARU Research is looking for committed and meticulous Field Investigators to join our Market Research division in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The position requires gathering primary data directly from respondents via face-to-face surveys, interviews, and observations. Suitable candidates should be confident communicators, organized, and able to operate independently in field settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct surveys by administering questionnaires and accurately recording answers using digital devices or paper forms.
• Engage potential respondents with clear and polite communication about the survey's objectives.
• Maintain data integrity by ensuring completeness and accuracy during collection.
• Travel to designated survey sites as assigned.
• Provide regular progress updates through daily or weekly reports.
• Adhere strictly to ethical standards and privacy protocols when interacting with participants.
• Collaborate with supervisors or research managers to receive schedules and project briefings.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum education: Completion of 10th grade, 12th grade, Diploma, or Graduation.
• Previous experience in field data gathering or market research is advantageous but not compulsory.
• Good communication abilities and interpersonal skills in the local language plus basic English.
• Self-reliance with effective time management capabilities.
• Familiarity with basic smartphone or tablet usage for data entry.
• Flexibility and readiness to travel widely within the defined geographic region.
