About the Role
Join Cencora's dedicated team focused on improving health outcomes for people and animals. We invite passionate Registered Nurses to take on a 12-month contract providing infusion and field nursing care across patient homes and clinical settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications in patients’ homes, specialty clinics, and physician partnership clinics following program protocols.
- Perform assessments and monitoring of patients before and after infusion treatments.
- Complete thorough documentation adhering to professional standards, company policies, and ISO accreditation requirements.
- Educate patients and caregivers about treatments and products as outlined in product monographs and protocols.
- Report adverse effects, serious incidents, and product complaints per company procedures.
- Maintain reliable availability to meet nursing business unit needs and key performance metrics.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including case managers, physicians, pharmacists, and schedulers to coordinate care and appointments.
- Communicate directly with patients and caregivers for appointment scheduling and drug delivery coordination.
- Participate in regular team training and meetings to uphold professional nursing standards.
- Engage in specialized client-focused training sessions as required.
- Adhere strictly to nursing standards dictated by professional associations and company policies.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare teams, delegating tasks to licensed practical nurses as authorized.
- Travel within designated geographic areas to fulfill operational responsibilities.
- Comply with all health, safety, and procedural regulations and participate in ongoing training programs.
- Potentially be available on call or standby to fulfill service demands.
Experience and Education Requirements
- Registered Nurse with relevant experience required.
- Minimum one year’s experience with IV initiation.
- Current registration and CPR certification required.
- Experience in critical care, emergency, acute inpatient/outpatient, or homecare settings.
- Certifications such as ACLS, PALS, MS, CVAA, and experience with central venous lines or ports considered advantages.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and other applicable software.
- Access to reliable internet and a cell phone for communication.
- Comfortable using fax machines.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills to engage with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently within a team environment.
- Willing and able to travel within assigned geographical boundaries for appointments.

- Advanced familiarity with pharmaceutical distribution considered a plus.
