Role Overview

This position requires a local representative in Tirupur who can discover and engage with small to medium manufacturing factories often unlisted online. The role involves both sourcing new manufacturing partners and inspecting factories on behalf of factori.com's Bangalore headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct on-ground visits to industrial sites, weaving clusters, dyeing, stitching, and finishing units within Tirupur and nearby areas such as Palladam, Avinashi, Perundurai, and Karur using a two-wheeler.
• Engage with factory decision-makers to gather essential data including contact details, GST info, product categories, capacities, and existing clientele.
• Capture photographs of factory signage, gates, and product samples for factori.com's partner database.
• Submit daily reports outlining factories visited, new leads identified, and notable observations to the AVP of Partner Relationship Management.
• Carry out factory inspections as requested by HQ teams, verifying capacity, machinery, workforce conditions, hygiene, and compliance.
• Document inspection findings through photographs, videos, and a standardized checklist, submitting reports promptly.
• Maintain professional relationships as factori.com's sole representative in Tirupur and support onboarding processes by following up on new leads.
• Escalate partner-related issues to the AVP as needed.

Candidate Profile

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

• Native or long-term resident of Tirupur with deep local knowledge and networks.
• Ownership of a reliable two-wheeler and valid driving licence, comfortable with extensive riding across local manufacturing clusters daily.
• Proficient spoken Tamil and functional English for communication and report writing.
• Familiarity with smartphone apps such as WhatsApp, Google Maps, and basics of Excel or Google Sheets.
• Minimum education of 12th pass, diploma, or graduate from any stream.
• 0 to 3 years' experience in field executive roles, preferably in apparel manufacturing, textile trading, garment sourcing, quality audit, or B2B sales within Tirupur is advantageous.

Preferred Attributes:

• Prior employment with garment exporters, textile buying houses, apparel manufacturers, or sourcing agencies in Tirupur.
• Knowledge of the local knitwear ecosystem including mills for fabric, dyeing, printing, embroidery, stitching, and packaging.
• Existing informal contacts within Tirupur factories.
