About the Role
The College of Theology at the Adventist University of the Philippines seeks a committed female faculty member to join full-time on a temporary basis until July 2025, with possibility for renewal. This position is based onsite at Niagara College, Ontario, Canada, and focuses on contributing to students' theological education and spiritual formation.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in Theology, Biblical Studies, or related disciplines.
- Provide mentoring and spiritual guidance to students, fostering their holistic development.
- Engage in theological research and contribute publications to academic journals.
- Participate in campus ministries and outreach or evangelistic initiatives.
- Serve actively on academic committees to support the college's mission and objectives.
Desired Competencies
- Thorough knowledge of Biblical studies, Adventist theology, and church history.
- Teaching expertise in doctrines, Christian ministry, and pastoral care.
- Strong spiritual leadership aligned with the Seventh-day Adventist Church's mission and values.
- Effective verbal and written communication for teaching, preaching, and counseling diverse student populations.
- Research skills to conduct theological scholarship and commitment to ongoing academic growth.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, professionalism, and moral integrity.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master's degree in Theology or Ministry required; doctorate (Ph.D. or D.Min.) preferred.
- Completion of ministerial internship or practical pastoral field experience.
- Prior college-level teaching experience is advantageous.
