Job description
Role Overview
Vocus is seeking an experienced Federal Government Bid Manager to take ownership of major proposal work across Australian Federal Government opportunities. This role is responsible for producing strong, compliant and persuasive submissions for complex, high-value tenders and panel arrangements.
You will oversee the complete bid process, from initial qualification through to submission, award and transition, making sure each response is strategically positioned, properly governed and ready for execution.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Commonwealth procurement practices, panel-based buying environments and regulated submission pathways such as AusTender, BuyICT and Defence-related frameworks. The role also requires the confidence to work through complexity and deliver under demanding timeframes.

- Handling challenging government procurement processes with confidence.
- Developing bid strategies that reflect agency needs and priorities.
- Submitting accurate, high-quality responses within strict deadlines.
- Building influence with senior stakeholders across technical, legal, commercial and executive functions.
Eligibility
Australian citizenship is mandatory. You must also be able to obtain and/or maintain an NV1 or NV2 security clearance.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will lead bid activity across Federal Government pursuits, coordinate cross-functional contributors, and ensure every submission meets both strategic and compliance requirements.
