Role overview
This position is part of the food and beverage service team at W Hotels in Singapore. The role is focused on shaping a memorable guest experience through attentive table service, smooth coordination with the kitchen, and prompt handling of guest needs during dining.
Rather than simply serving meals, the job is about creating a polished and engaging service experience where food and drinks are delivered with care and transactions feel seamless for the guest.
Key duties
- Set up tables and maintain the dining area to support a high-quality guest experience.
- Communicate clearly with kitchen and service teams so orders and timing stay aligned.
- Interact with guests, serve food and beverages, and respond to service requests professionally.
- Keep work areas and service supplies clean, organized, and ready for use.
- Carry out additional job-related tasks as assigned.
Work expectations
Success in this role depends on maintaining a safe workplace, following company rules and service standards, and presenting a professional image in both appearance and communication.
The role requires being on your feet for long periods, moving across different floor surfaces, reading menu details accurately, and handling physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and reaching. Items handled may weigh up to 25 pounds without assistance and up to 50 pounds with assistance.
Preferred background
A high school diploma or GED-equivalent is preferred. The role is suitable for someone with less than 1 year of related work experience. No supervisory background is required, and no license or certification is needed.
