Role Overview
This role is focused on creating a dining experience that feels polished, memorable, and distinctive. Rather than simply serving food, the service expert contributes to the overall guest experience through attentive table service, smooth coordination with the kitchen, and a professional presence throughout the meal.
The position is based at The St. Regis Singapore, 29 Tanglin Road, Singapore 247911, and is a full-time, non-management role.
What You Will Do
- Set up tables and ensure the dining area is ready for service.
- Interact with guests in a warm, attentive manner and provide food and beverage service.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen to support timely and accurate service.
- Clear, clean, and maintain service areas, tools, and supplies.
- Help make every transaction feel like part of the guest experience.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Maintain a professional appearance, uniform, and communication style.
- Carry out additional reasonable duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
Guest service experts are expected to remain active throughout the shift, including standing, sitting, or walking for long periods, and moving across sloped, uneven, or slippery surfaces. The job also involves reading and checking menu information visually and handling physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing items up to 25 pounds independently or up to 50 pounds with assistance. The role may also require bending, twisting, reaching overhead and below the knees, stooping, and other hands-on work.
Qualifications
Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Less than one year of related experience is preferred, and no supervisory background is required. No license or certification is needed.
