Fast-food Service Attendant

Role overview

This position is for a fast-food service attendant at Subway in Gananoque, Ontario. The role focuses on preparing and serving food, handling customer orders, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and service areas, and supporting daily restaurant operations.

Education

A secondary school graduation certificate is required.

Key duties

• Clean and sanitize dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units.
• Wash dishes and other items by hand and ensure they are properly sanitized.
• Track the amount of food consumed and used.
• Pack food for takeout orders.
• Portion, wrap, and prepare food items for service.
• Heat, finish, and assemble simple menu items.
• Serve guests at counters or buffet stations.
• Restock refrigerators and salad bars as needed.
• Take customer orders accurately.
• Operate manual and powered equipment to clean, peel, cut, slice, and trim ingredients.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
• Receive deliveries, unpack supplies, and store them in appropriate refrigeration, freezer, cupboard, and storage spaces.
• Dispose of kitchen garbage and waste.
• Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.

Experience

Working conditions

This is a permanent role with an English work environment. Work is scheduled across evenings, shifts, flexible hours, days, and weekends. The standard work week is 35 to 44 hours.
