Fashion Designer - Womenswear

About the Role

FirstCry.com (BrainBees Solutions Ltd.) is looking for an innovative Womenswear Fashion Designer based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. This full-time, on-site position requires an individual passionate about fashion trends and apparel design within the retail apparel and fashion industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive research on current fashion trends and develop seasonal themes including mood boards and color palettes tailored for womenswear.
• Design diverse womenswear collections spanning multiple categories.
• Create detailed sketches, computer-aided designs (CADs), technical packs, and precise design specifications.
• Collaborate closely with merchandising, sourcing, and product development teams to ensure cohesive product execution.
• Choose appropriate fabrics, trims, prints, and decorative embellishments to enhance designs.
• Review prototypes and participate in fit sessions to maintain high standards of design quality.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a degree in Fashion Design.
• Have between 3 to 5 years of professional womenswear design experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Display a strong understanding of fashion trends, fabric properties, garment construction, and fit principles.
• Exhibit excellent communication and organizational abilities.
