Job description
About the company
This is a startup e-commerce business that sells genuine handcrafted and handloom products online, with a focus on women’s wear, kids’ wear, and menswear.
Role overview
The opening is for a Fashion Design / Merchandising internship based in Gurugram. It is intended for candidates who want practical exposure to the fashion and merchandising workflow and are open to combining design work with merchant-facing responsibilities.
Eligibility and qualification
Applicants should be from the 2025, 2026, or 2027 graduating batches and should be pursuing or holding a relevant design or fashion background. Accepted qualifications include B.Des. in Fashion Designing, B.Sc. in Apparel and Fashion Technology, B.Tech / B.E. in Fashion Technology, BE / B.Tech / Diploma in Textile Engineering, or a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Technology or MFM.
Technical requirements
Strong CAD capability is required, with hands-on proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
Location and work arrangement
The internship is strictly office-based at Sector 37, Hero Honda Chowk, Gurugram. Remote work is not available. Candidates must already be based in Gurgaon or be willing to stay in Gurgaon for the duration of the internship. Those expecting a remote arrangement should not apply.
Stipend
The stipend is Rs. 10,000 per month. The source also mentions a stipend range of INR 100000-125000 per period, but no period is specified there.
Responsibilities
This internship combines fashion design and merchandising work. The intern will support development across new and existing silhouettes, create concepts for block printing and embroidery, collaborate with artists on block printing and hand embroidery, and assist in the journey from pattern making and prototype creation to sampling and final production with manufacturing vendors.
The role also includes representing the brand in photoshoots and serving as a visible face and ambassador for the company’s garments.
Important note
This position is not suitable for someone seeking only a pure fashion design role. The company expects the selected intern to contribute to both fashion design and merchandising tasks.
Working schedule
The internship follows a Monday-to-Saturday schedule and is conducted entirely from the office.
