Farm Worker - Livestock

Overview

Sumas Mountain Farms is looking for a part-time livestock farm worker to support day-to-day animal care and general farm operations in Abbotsford, British Columbia. This role is based at the farm location and must be performed in person; remote work is not available.

English is required for this position.

Education

No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.

Experience

No prior experience is necessary, as training will be provided.

Work Setting

The role is situated in a rural area and requires on-site attendance at the physical workplace.

Responsibilities

• Manage and handle livestock safely and appropriately.
• Check animal health and watch for signs of illness or distress.
• Carry out feeding duties for livestock.
• Provide regular care, feeding, and tending for animals.
• Keep records and logs related to farm and animal activities.
• Support a variety of general farm tasks as needed.
