About the Role
Riley Farms is looking to hire operators skilled in combine and grain cart machinery for the autumn harvest period. The position is based in southeast Alberta, with a tentative start around late July or early August. The employer offers a wage that aligns competitively with current market rates and varies depending on the applicant's relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating and upkeep of combine harvesters.
- Driving and performing maintenance on tractors, including both four-wheel drive and front wheel assist models.
Requirements
- Possession of a valid Class 5 driver's license is mandatory.
- Class 1 license holders are highly preferred but not strictly required.
- Previous experience is valuable and will influence pay scale.
Working Conditions
- Work schedule includes seven days a week with shifts lasting 12 hours or more, typically starting at 8 AM.
- On extended working days into the evening, meals will be provided.
