About the role

Join Tassal’s Southern Operations team in Dover as a Farm Attendant and spend your workday on the water. This position is an important part of the site team and contributes directly to the wider success of the business.

If you enjoy recreational diving, this role can also be a strong starting point toward a commercial diving pathway.

Key duties

  • Support salmon welfare by checking fish health and carrying out fish husbandry tasks to maintain Tassal’s animal care standards.
  • Place and position nets in assigned areas to help create the right environment for fish growth and harvest readiness.
  • Carry out general labouring work, including inspecting pens, nets, and feed equipment, and completing maintenance tasks when required.
  • Follow all company procedures, site rules, and relevant regulatory obligations to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Assist the harvest team with harvest-related duties as needed.

Skills and experience

  • Coxswains NC2 is desirable.
  • Certificate III in Aquaculture is preferred, or a willingness to obtain it.
  • Comfortable working as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Well organised and able to manage tasks efficiently.
