About the Clinic

Role Overview

The Family Physician will work full-time on-site, providing primary care services including routine health assessments, chronic disease management, preventive counseling, and urgent care. Key daily tasks involve evaluating health conditions, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing treatments, coordinating with specialists and allied health professionals, and maintaining accurate patient records. Participation in care planning, follow-up, and quality improvement initiatives is required. The physician will also contribute to patient education and community health programs while adhering to clinic policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Qualifications

  • Proven experience in family medicine and primary care able to address diverse patient health needs.
  • Clinical competency in assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, urgent care, and follow-up.
  • Dedication to community health promotion, preventive care, and educating patients for sustained wellness.
  • Medical degree (MD or equivalent) and completion of an accredited family medicine residency program.
  • Eligibility or current licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba, with appropriate certifications.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal abilities to function well within a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Ability to deliver culturally sensitive, equitable care to diverse patient populations.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing patient caseloads, thorough documentation, and proficient use of electronic medical records.
