Role Overview

The Family Medicine Consultant or Senior Registrar position is a full-time, on-site role based in Jeddah, involving comprehensive primary care delivery to patients of all ages. Responsibilities include diagnosing, treating, and managing both acute and chronic conditions through patient consultations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, creating personalized care plans, and coordinating referrals to other specialty services when necessary.

The role also entails participation in clinical audits, aiding quality improvement efforts, supervising junior medical staff, and ensuring accurate and prompt medical documentation. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to uphold patient safety, continuity of care, and compliance with clinical guidelines and regulatory requirements is essential.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Board certification or equivalent in Family Medicine and valid licensing or eligibility to practice in Saudi Arabia.
  • Proven experience in evidence-based primary care across all age groups, managing preventive, acute, and chronic diseases.
  • Strong clinical judgment, diagnostic competence, and problem-solving abilities to handle complex cases and orchestrate multidisciplinary care.
  • Proficiency in medical documentation, use of electronic health records, and strict adherence to clinical protocols and patient safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and diverse healthcare teams.
  • Experience in mentoring or supervising junior medical staff or trainees is highly advantageous.
  • Dedication to ongoing professional growth, engaging in clinical audits and quality improvement projects.
  • Fluency in English is required; Arabic language skills are a plus.
