Overview

The Factory Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and compliance standards across the factory premises. This role involves conducting routine inspections, overseeing equipment upkeep, managing inventory quality, ensuring proper food storage, and coordinating pest control measures. The position demands strict adherence to food safety standards and thorough documentation to support audits and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily inspections throughout the factory including production, storage, and common areas to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Confirm cleaning schedules are completed by housekeeping staff and address any issues promptly.
  • Inspect machinery and equipment to verify operational status and adherence to preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Report any equipment faults immediately and manage repair coordination with technicians and external service providers.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance and service records for all factory equipment.
  • Check expiry dates of raw materials, ingredients, and packaging items, ensuring FIFO and FEFO inventory rotation practices.
  • Remove expired or damaged goods swiftly and monitor stock rotation in all storerooms.
  • Ensure food products are stored at appropriate temperatures and humidity; verify labeling accuracy and storage organization to prevent contamination and pest entry.
  • Control refrigeration and freezer temperatures daily and confirm food items are elevated off floors and walls when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with FSSAI, GMP, and internal food safety protocols through daily audits and staff guidance.
  • Monitor hygiene and sanitation practices consistently and enforce proper personal protective equipment usage among workers.
  • Document and report any food safety violations immediately and assist during both internal and external audits.
  • Detect pest activity signs, work with pest control service providers, and keep related records updated.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for inspections, maintenance activities, corrective actions, and compliance reports.
