Key duties
- Inspect statements and flag claims that need verification.
- Carry out detailed online research using dependable sources.
- Assess how credible, relevant, and accurate the available evidence is.
- Compare conflicting sources and decide on the strongest supported conclusion.
- Separate facts, opinions, assumptions, and claims that cannot be verified.
- Record your findings and apply accuracy ratings according to project rules.
- Support improvements to the factual quality of AI-generated content.
Candidate profile
The ideal applicant has experience in journalism, research, editorial work, communications, public policy, law, information science, or a closely related area. Strong online research ability, sound judgment, and clear written English are essential. You should be comfortable working through uncertain or ambiguous information and making decisions based on evidence.
Project details
This is a remote opportunity for candidates based in the United States. The work language is English. The engagement is freelance, begins as soon as possible, and is expected to run for 2 weeks.
Compensation and benefits
