The company develops small launch vehicles that are meant to carry satellites into Low Earth Orbit and beyond. By joining the team, you would contribute to a project focused on advancing space services and creating positive impact here on Earth.
About the Team
The company is seeking support from a proactive Facilities Caretaker to serve as the main contact for day-to-day practical and organizational matters. In this position, you would help keep buildings, workspaces, and infrastructure running smoothly while also taking on a variety of hands-on tasks in daily operations.
What You Will Do
- Inspect offices, buildings, and outdoor areas on a regular basis.
- Carry out small repairs, such as fixing furniture, lights, door locks, and basic plumbing items.
- Arrange and coordinate outside contractors for larger maintenance or repair jobs.
- Act as the first contact for employees with technical or organizational questions.
- Set up meeting rooms and support internal events.
- Assist and oversee suppliers, contractors, and other service providers.
- Move documents, materials, and equipment between locations as needed.
- Deliver parts between RFA and nearby suppliers, with trip times of about 1–2 hours.
- Handle minor errands that help keep operations moving.
- Move, assemble, and reconfigure office furniture.
- Support desk changes and internal office relocations.
- Prepare smaller work areas and workstations.
- Empty, sort, and manage waste on a routine basis.
- Organize bulk waste and special disposal requirements.
- Keep storage rooms and shared spaces clean and orderly.
What We Are Looking For
- Practical, hands-on ability with a basic technical understanding.
- Previous experience in facilities management or a comparable role.
- A valid Category B driver’s license.
- Strong spoken English for communication with international colleagues, vendors, and for documentation.
- A dependable, service-minded, and solution-focused attitude.
- A friendly personality and enjoyment in working with people, particularly younger and international colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for tasks.
- Flexibility and physical resilience.
What We Offer
- Work in an international, fast-moving New Space start-up environment.
- Flexible working hours that can be adjusted to your needs.
- Access to EGYM Wellpass for fitness and wellness activities.
- 30 days of annual leave plus additional special leave days.
- Regular company and team events as part of the RFA community.
- Free parking for both cars and bicycles.
Additional Information
You would be joining a team of more than 300 colleagues from over 40 countries and would be expected to take ownership from the very beginning. The role is suited to someone who wants to grow, take responsibility, and help make space more accessible. Applications are welcome in German or English.
