Role Overview

As a Facilities Technician, you will help keep the property safe, clean, attractive, and ready for guests. The role covers both indoor and outdoor areas and includes day-to-day upkeep, repairs, landscaping support, and readiness for weather-related situations.

The position is non-exempt and pays $18 to $22 per hour.

Key Duties

• Carry out routine property inspections to spot repair needs, safety concerns, and landscaping issues.
• Handle maintenance and repair work across areas such as painting, plumbing, electrical tasks, carpentry, and HVAC support.
• Support landscaping work to keep outdoor spaces in good condition.
• Check and maintain the misting system.
• Keep all areas orderly and safe through sweeping, mopping, and pressure washing.
• Track supply levels and restock items as needed.
• Escalate maintenance concerns and hazards to a supervisor right away.
• Complete maintenance logs and checklists accurately.
• Help with storm preparation and post-storm recovery tasks.
• Remove waste, operate a trash compactor safely, and keep the compactor area clean.
• Follow all safety procedures to protect guests and employees.
• Support special assignments and project work as needed.
• Be prepared to work in both indoor and outdoor settings.
• Take on additional duties when assigned.

Qualifications

Applicants should have prior experience in facilities maintenance and landscaping, along with a working knowledge of basic repair methods and landscaping practices. Safe use of equipment, tools, cleaning agents, and chemicals is also important.

The role requires availability on weekends and holidays, plus strong communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Expectations

This job involves extended periods of standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, and reaching. It also requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 lbs.

Employees must be able to use tools and equipment safely and work responsibly with cleaning products and chemicals.
