Role Overview
As a Facilities Technician at SpawGlass, you will be integral to delivering high-quality and safe construction projects. Supporting dynamic and detail-oriented field operations, you will demonstrate expert craftsmanship, flexibility, and strong coordination with project teams. Your work will span diverse commercial construction, maintenance, renovation, repair, and minor expansion tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform various carpentry and building activities such as light framing, installation of interior and exterior finishes, selective demolition, door and hardware fitting, and general facility enhancements.
- Ensure adherence to project plans, timelines, and quality standards while maintaining a safe and clean job site.
- For experienced technicians: handle increasingly complex tasks, engage directly with clients, offer field-informed solutions related to budgets and scopes, and champion continuous process improvements.
Required Skills and Attributes
- Expertise in precise carpentry craftsmanship.
- Proficiency in light framing and finishing carpentry work.
- Capability in installing doors, hardware, and various building components.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, layouts, measurements, and construction specifications accurately.
- Competent in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in fast-changing job site conditions.
- Keen awareness of safety procedures and hazard identification.
- Effective collaboration, communication, and client interaction capabilities.
- Skills in planning, time management, and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.

Background and Experience
- Proven experience as a carpenter or technician on commercial construction or specialized renovation projects.
- Solid skillset in light framing, finish installations, selective demolition, and repair-centric construction tasks.
- Accurate blueprint reading and interpretation proficiency.
- Attention to detail, excellent craftsmanship, communication clarity, and problem-solving aptitude.
- Physical capability to lift heavy materials and operate effectively in a demanding, fast-paced work environment with frequent task changes.
- Valid driver's license is necessary.
