Job description
Role overview
This position sits within the manufacturing technicians function at RF360 Singapore Pte., Ltd. and supports the upkeep and reliability of site facilities systems in Singapore. The role is part of Qualcomm’s broader engineering and manufacturing environment, where attention to detail, rapid response, and safe execution are essential.
Key duties
- Track facilities system operating readings each day and keep accurate logs of the results.
- Check the collected data against defined control thresholds and alert the Technical Service Engineer when readings fall outside acceptable limits or suggest a possible issue.
- Carry out assigned maintenance tasks and ensure all related records are completed properly, including shift reports, preventive maintenance work orders, FMS updates, equipment activity records, and similar documentation.
- Serve as the first point of response for site-related incidents and operational problems.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors to investigate and resolve issues such as lift or dumbwaiter failures, water leakage, pipe ruptures, power interruptions, and fire alarm activations.
- Take immediate action during emergencies to troubleshoot systems and restore normal operation as quickly as possible.
- Oversee maintenance contractors and confirm that their work meets company expectations for EHS, scope of work, and housekeeping standards.
- Keep equipment and workshop areas tidy and support first-layer process audits.
- Assist with work order coordination and tracking.
- Handle administration for the daily facilities morning meeting, including taking notes, updating records, saving the minutes, and sending them to relevant vendors by email.
- Follow up on OCAP items by raising and escalating issues quickly so production and safety are not affected.
- Carry out checking, investigation, reporting, and corrective actions based on direction from system owners and managers.
Work schedule and conditions
The role requires availability for 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Qualifications and experience
Candidates are preferably educated to Higher NITEC or NITEC level in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field. Previous experience in a similar role will be considered an advantage. The ideal person should be self-driven and comfortable working with minimal supervision.
